Ricard Gázquez

Among the plays he has written and directed, highlights are: Glásnost (2018), Cocina Límite (2016-2017), La Montaña Virtual (2014), La Lengua Atolondrada (2013), Folie en famille (2007), Sweet Dreams, co-written with Enric Nolla (2005), Niederungen (Butaca Award for the Best Small-Format Show and for the Best Stage Design 2002) and Addictes a la Pepsi (1999). Other plays not premiered are: Los Satélite (Born Prize for Theatre 2019), S’Horabaixa (runner-up of the Born Prize 2016), Nocturn a quatre mans (2008), Tarta Tatin (2001) and Llengua de Bou (2000).

A graduate in Hispanic Studies, he holds a PhD in the Performing Arts. He is currently director of the UAB’s Aula de Teatre and works as a teacher at the Institut del Teatre, at the University School ERAM-UdG (Girona) and at ESAD Eòlia. In recent years he has worked in research, paying special attention to women artists from various artistic fields.
