Roger Torns is an actor, author and director. He graduated in directing and playwriting from the Institut del Teatre and earned a diploma in the Performing Arts at La Casona school. He has also attended various playwriting workshops and seminars at the Obrador de la Sala Beckett. As a playwright and director he has premiered Com si mitja taronja se m’estigués pixant a sobre (2014), La festa de les cadires (2014), Soliloquizing with Someone (2015), Distància (runner-up for the Palanca i Roca Award of 2016 and the Josep Ametller Award of 2018, premiered with the support of the Sala Beckett, 2018), Hàbitat [Doble penetració] (winning Desperta-Lab Grant project, 2018), Estrip-Tesi (winner of the Càtedra Brossa Grant, 2018) and Persones potencialment perilloses (Tantarantana, 2019). He wrote the stage adaptation of Woyzeck caducat (2015) and, with Eric Balbàs, he co-authored Elefant terrible (winner of CROQUIS_BCN 2017).
