A man, an intrepid adventurer, traveller, smuggler and sentimental, decides to put an end to his lifelong business: the smuggling of animals. Wanted by the police, physically tired, he yearns only for an exile in Africa, the land where he has been happiest. To achieve this, he contracts a boy to help him get rid of the last animals he is keeping in a warehouse. The boy can only admire a life as full as his and condemn a killing of animals as absurd as the man seeks to perpetrate.
