Apatxes (2009)

In a country at war there are few options: attack, flee, resist. Or be an Apache. So Gabriel has decided to be one.

Gabriel has a dictionary that his father left him, and he quickly realises that adults often do not know what the exact meaning of words is. With the arrival of soldiers in the village, new ones appear. And things start to change. They quickly put up posters on all the streets, many with the word “forbidden”. But in the village there is also a foreigner. A man who arrived one night, mysteriously, fleeing from the war in his country. He says he is a carpenter, but Gabriel has his own theory.

Apatxes won the 14 d’Abril Theatre Award, in its 2nd edition, in the year 2009.
