La porta blindada
Author: Ruth Vilar
La porta blindada is set in a closed-down and deserted library. The only person remaining there is its director, who still has to perform one final, decisive mission. This task will take an eternity and the world meanwhile will gradually fall apart without him realising. His wife will have to take up the reins to save herself and to save him. La porta blindada is a poetic fable about the suppression of public services and its devastating effects on the lives of ordinary men and women. The work is also a tribute to individuals who stand up to institutional dismantling.
