Marc Crehuet

Film and theatre director, scriptwriter and playwright.

He was nominated as best new director at the Goya awards for his film El rey tuerto (Moiré Films, 2016), with which he also obtained 8 nominations for the Gaudí awards. In 2020, he shot his second feature film, Espejo Espejo, for Netflix. He has also written and directed Apolo. La juventud baila (Moiré Films, 2018), a mockumentary about the 75 years of the legendary Sala Apolo in Barcelona.

He is creator of the cult series Pop ràpid (TV3, 2011). He has also worked as a director on series such as Bienvenidos a la familia (TV3 and Netflix, 2018-19) and as a scriptwriter in other series such as Capítulo 0 (Movistar Plus, 2018), El Vecino (Zeta Cinema and Netflix, 2019), nominated for the Best Script in the MIM awards 2021, and Àngels i Sants (TV3, 2006).

He is the author and director of four plays for theatre: Conexiones (2009), El rey tuerto (2013), Magical History Club (2014) and La morta de Pompeu Crehuet (2020), premiered at the Sala Beckett in Barcelona and nominated for the MAX awards 2020.
