Marta Aran holds a degree in the Performing Arts from the Institut del Teatre. She completed her training as a writer at various courses at the Sala Beckett taught by Pere Riera, Josep Maria Miró and Helena Tornero. Among her work as an actress, highlights include: Sota la ciutat directed by Llàtzer Garcia (Teatre Lliure, 2016), Petits Monstres, directed by Marilia Samper (Villarroel, 2015), La Pols, directed by Llàtzer Garcia (Sala Flyhard, 2014; La Villarroel, 2015, and Teatro Fernán Gómez, Madrid, 2016), La Terra Oblidada, directed by Llàtzer Garcia (Sala Flyhard and Sala Atrium, 2012) and No ens matarem amb pistoles, directed by Víctor Sánchez (Teatre Lliure, 2012).
As a director, she has directed Els últims de Filipines by Javier Sahuquillo at the PIIGS Festival and, at the Sala Flyhard, La noia de la làmpada, of which she is also the author.
