Vicent Ferrer i Mayans

Philologist and teacher of Catalan. He has researched and published in mediaeval studies, sociolinguistics, micro-toponomy, language didactics, costumbrism, literary criticism, and communication in the field of humanities. He also works as an illustrator and edits the comics magazine ADN. As a playwright he has written some plays for a younger audience such as Eren pesants, els gots (2000), En un somni de pirates (FGATC award 2002) and Snif… Snif… Corsaris! (Guillem d’Efak Award, 2005). He participated in the island radio theatre project Material Acústic Antiaïllant (2008). In 2006, he won the Ciutat d’Alcoi prize for theatre with Carnatge (published in 2021) and the Ramon Vinyes with Tramuntana morta. He recently took to the stage the trilogy made up of Cap de tortuga (2012), Perdius (2016) and Nautae (2017), post-dramatic plays directed by Miquel Costa.
