Amor mundi (2019)
Author: Victoria Szpunberg
Aurèlia, a schoolteacher reaching retirement with an illness that is causing her to go blind, has been fired from the school where she works because she had a violent reaction towards a girl pupil.
Now, alone at home with the sole company of her niece and a young school monitor, she questions herself about her career and her own ethical and pedagogical principles. Was her reaction impulsive? Or was she perfectly aware of what she was doing? Is it possible to talk about goodness and evil in children? And what role should the school play?
