Dorian

Carlos Be, in this free version of Oscar Wilde’s The Portrait of Dorian Gray, strips us naked and introduces us, like peepshow clients, into a stage set that is the world itself in order to witness, quietly and discreetly like voyeurs, the perversion of the human soul, indifference to pain, aestheticism and the decadence of dandyism, submission to desire and beauty, and the transition towards destruction. This proposal has a taste of Greek tragedy, of a fate already traced out and with brushstrokes of Pasolini.
