El pes d’un cos
Author: Victoria Szpunberg
A daughter has to take care of her father who, having suffered a stroke, is experiencing a process of physical and mental deterioration that has made him a totally dependent being. The father, who had been a major pillar of support (emotional and ideological) for his daughter, has become a paradigm of fragility, someone who suffers hallucinations and is unable to independently tend to his own basic needs.
A lack of own economic resources and the precarity being experienced by the public administrations cause the situation to enter into a kind of spiralling freefall.
A play that tackles the issue of ageing and dependency in today’s society.
