16 June 1944. It’s night-time. Thirty anti-Nazi resistance members are executed on wasteland near Lyon at the hands of the Gestapo. Among that group awaiting death, one man seems to be out of context: he is nearly sixty years old and looks like the mad professor. His name is Marc Bloch, a fundamental historian of the 20th century and defender of a more human history.
Seventy-one years later, in 2015, a young university student falls in love with a girl, who turns out to be his history teacher’s daughter. The three characters that make up this triangle try to understand a little better the relations that they live between them.
Can we ever come to know the hopes, shadows or, even, the silences of others?
