A baby sleeps in his room. His parents are not quite sure whether he is breathing or not. But they do not dare to enter. He must be breathing. There’s no reason he should not be breathing. But it might be that there is no baby in that room. Perhaps there was no birth to celebrate, and everything that they say about their baby and parenthood, about how their lives have changed since the birth, are merely speculations. Little by little, however, they will gradually uncover the true reality that hides behind the bedroom door. Where their child lies sleeping.
