Tractat de blanques
Author: Enric Nolla
A black foreign woman lives the fantasy of transforming her identity into that of another person who responds to the dominant traits of the place where she lives. Every night, in the overtime periods she is obliged to work, she tells her experience to an – imaginary? – substitute and remembers what she has to do to free herself, the efforts to be part of the new world and stop being different. At dawn, that other woman that she has left in the past becomes present; a minuscule instant of reconciliation with herself, before starting a new day of work.
