Carme Planells

 

A graduate in Catalan Studies and university specialist in linguistic services, UIB. She has been a pupil of Sanchis Sinisterra, Sergi Belbel, Carles Batlle, Jordi Casanovas, Josep M. Miró, Rafael Spregelburd, etc.

Linguistic adviser for Iguana Teatre and the author of adaptations with Pere Fullana (Twist & Txèkhov, Mesura per mesura). Together they have written No te’n riguis de Rimbaud.

She has written short plays which have been acclaimed by the public. She has also written theatre for children (Planeta B/N, Bell Lloc Children and Youth Theatre Prize; Som rosa i què?, Butxaca Prize for Children’s Theatre) and narrative.

Together with Aina Salom she has written 3 plays: Llum trencada (Ciutat de Palma Prize 2018), Mar de fons (cowritten with Pere Fullana and Jaume Miró), a coproduction between Iguana Teatre, the Teatre Lliure and the Teatre Principal in Palma, and Fils de vida (cowritten with Pere Fullana), an Iguana Teatre production.
