Christophe (1997)

Author: Lluis Hansen

Rafael and Ester are a middle-aged couple in Barcelona, childless and apparently living a comfortable life. One day, by chance, he bumps into Christophe in the street, a Frenchman who they had met on holiday in Greece five years before. Back home, they talk about it, but the initial unconcern gives way to curiosity and intrigue and the intrigue to the conviction that Christophe has been deceiving them since they met. Then they plan a strategy to unmask him: they invite him to dinner to discover what he is hiding from them. But they will discover a reality that has nothing to do with what they expected. A pathetic reflection of the fragility of the closed world in which they live.
