Descripció d’un paisatge

An imaginary Mediterranean city, where signs of the north and south of this sea merge. After ten years as dictator, the head of state has decided to evolve towards democracy. Two sisters, who had fled at the start of the dictatorship when their father, opposed to the tyrant, was assassinated, return home. They fear what can happen, but they arrive ready to take their personal vengeance, and not on the inaccessible head of state. They seem prepared to pay the necessaryprice once they have achieved their objective. An officer of the regime observes their return and tells us about the past, present and future plans of the two women. He will always be mistaken. The head of state, his master, does not react as he expected, and the new arrivals do not end up where he predicts. Meanwhile, the ex-lover of the youngest of the sisters, now married and with a young child, receives an invitation to see them… The bitter shadow of Euripides hovers over this play, but the reader or audience will hardly notice it.
