Anarcho-syndicalist activist Frederica Montseny, who was Minister of the Republic during the government of Largo Caballero, finds herself locked up in the French prison of Limoges, pending her extradition trial to Spain. Montseny is five months pregnant and has a very uncertain future ahead of her. Will she be deported to Spain and fall into the hands of Franco’s troops? In prison, Frederica Montseny has time to reflect on the vicissitudes of the extreme times that fate has led her to live.
