Ferran Joanmiquel Pla has participated as playwright on international projects such as Fabulamundi Playwriting Europe and the Drama Festival on the PIIGS crisis. He has the won a number of awards and prizes: the Boira de Vic for Riu Gener, the Recull de Blanes for Dinou, the Bartrina de Reus for Blue, the Lluís Solà de Calldetenes for Vidres als ulls, the Inicia’t de Badalona for Chagall’s Daughter, the Octubre de València for All the Shades of White, the Pepe Alba de Sagunt for Talking Women and the Àngels Poch de Terrassa for Samurai. Plays he has premiered include Dinou (Sala La Planeta) and Blue (Sala Beckett). With his company Cos a Cos, he has directed and premiered Vidres als ulls, La crida, El rey del Gurugú, Chagall’s Daughter and Cent dies i cent vides (Festival Temporada Alta). He has also formed part of La Planeta’s Verbatim Theatre Cycle, within the context of which he has premiered El color de la llum and El·lipsi. More recently, he has premiered Samurai (La Mercantil de Balaguer).
