Juli Disla has written, premiered and published the majority of his own plays: El hombre menguante (2014), La gent (2012; runner-up for the Max Prizes for Best New Author 2014), Expuestos (2011), Happy (2008), La ràbia que em fas (2008), Swimming pool (2000; 36th Ciutat d’Alcoi Prize for Theatre and nominated for the Max Prizes 2005 as best text in Catalan), Conxín, l’elegida (2002; Ciutat de València Prize 2002) and A poqueta nit (1998; Micalet Prize and Ciudad de la Laguna Prize). In theatre for children he has written Castigats (2000; Xaro Vidal Prize for Children’s Theatre), Paraules a les butxaques(2001), Malos y malditos (2008) and Tris Tras Trus una història de sentits (2006), among others. He takes part in the writing of plays with various authors and in the production of short pieces, adaptations and versions.

He took part in a Royal Court International Residency in the year 2000 and in Panorama Sur in the year 2010; he obtained an Iberescena scholarship in Mexico in the year 2012 and completed an artistic residency in Valparaíso (Chile) in the year 2013.
